Abstract:   (1948 Views)
Introduction: Many organizations complain about the inappropriate behavior of some employees, violations of organizational norms, and the same issues, which can cause severe shock to the organization. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between employee deviant behaviors in organizational trauma.
Methods: This research is applied in terms of purpose and it is descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. Using the Kerjcie and Morgan table, 196 people were selected as statistical samples. Data collection tools include two standard questionnaires for employee misconduct and organizational trauma. Content validity was used to determine the validity of the mentioned questionnaires. To assess the reliability, Cronbach’s alpha method was confirmed to be 0.932 and 0.849, respectively. SPSS-22 statistical software was used to analyze the data obtained from Pearson correlation method and regression test.
Results: Findings show that there is a significant relationship between employees deviant behaviors and organizational trauma (r= 0.803) with respect to P-value= 0.000. Therefore, deviation in production or product with a correlation coefficient of 0.720, deviation in asset with a correlation coefficient of 0.744, political deviation with a correlation coefficient of 0.648 and personal aggression with a correlation coefficient of 0.713 in organizational trauma have a significant relationship at 99%.
Conclusion: In the community and the sample under study, employees’ deviant behaviors were recognized as a special variable affecting the severity of organizational trauma. Given that deviant behaviors are not obvious and easily recognizable in the workplace, the findings of the present study can be applicable to managers in relation to hiring people for jobs in which deviant behaviors are problematic.
