Introduction: The psychological well-being and happiness are important components in people’s lives,
this study was designed to investigate the relationship between religious beliefs, psychological well-being
and happiness in psychology students.
Methods: This is a descriptive study. The sample of study was all 200 psychology undergraduate student
of Sari Islamic Azad University in 2015-2016. The instruments were the Allport religious beliefs questionnaire,
the Riff Psychological well-being, and the Oxford happiness questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed
by using descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS16 software.
Results: The results showed a significant relationship between religious beliefs and happiness. Also, the
relationship between psychological well-being and happiness was statistically positive.
Conclusion: The strengthening religious beliefs and promoting mental well-being, can be helpful in
providing the student happier life. |
