Background and Goal: Modular method is a form of in-service training which provides job skills into
a form of independent training of audiences. Each of modular provides specific skill and at the same time
besides the other modular led to a new and comprehensive skill. In fact, any educational modular is a set
of knowledge, attitudes and skills which by using them it can be possible to do a part of job independently.
Therefore, the main aim of present study is to check the status of instructional design with modular method in
medical education. This study was done to find out can modular method is used in medical education or not?
Method: The method of this study was a literature review of the two areas of modular training and
medicine. Key words of these areas were inferred and needed materials were found from internal and
international databases such as Magiran, Noormags, SID (Scientific Information Database), Google Scholar,
Cross References, Science Direct and PubMed.
Results: The findings of this study indicated that the effectiveness of modular courses at all levels and in
most areas of cognitive and practical issues was approved and Studies of the effectiveness of these courses
even on issues related to medical science and experimental science have confirmed.
Discussion and Conclusion: Due to the particular characteristic medicine, medicine courses can be
designed to be modular, In that way, these modular with creating different skills and getting them together can
train medical specialists and experts. |
