The Impact of E-Learning in the Hidden Curriculum

Background: Today the information and communication technology is the integral part of the work place
and the classroom. The main aim of this survey is to examine the impact of e-learning in the hidden curriculum.
Hidden Curriculum is masked for education Planners but its influences on thought,emotion and behaviours
of students.
Method: This article is a quasi-experimental, pretest-posttest control group and the test was conducted
on a total of 30 students of educational technology, multi-stage cluster sampling from Allameh Tabatabai
university. The Faculty of psychology and educational sciences were selected and randomly divided into
two groups of 15 persons as experimental and control groups. Data were collected through a self-made
questionnaire of wich validity was assessed using content as well, to ensure reliability, the cronbachs alpha
was used and this amount (α=0.091) were reported. Data Were Analyzed before and after training.
Results: The results of analysis of covariance in the functions of hidden curriculum in both control and
experimental groups showed that Electronic-learning affects the hidden functions of the of the curriculum
(social acceptance, vulnerability, stress and self-confidence). There was a relationship between Electroniclearning
and curriculum hidden components.
Conclusion: Findings of this survey says that the e-learning can improvet he hidden funcations of
curriculum including social acceptance, vulnerability, stress and self-confidence. |
