Background and Goal: Modular method is a form of in-service training which provides job skills into<br>
a form of independent training of audiences. Each of modular provides specific skill and at the same time<br>
besides the other modular led to a new and comprehensive skill. In fact, any educational modular is a set<br>
of knowledge, attitudes and skills which by using them it can be possible to do a part of job independently.<br>
Therefore, the main aim of present study is to check the status of instructional design with modular method in<br>
medical education. This study was done to find out can modular method is used in medical education or not?<br>
Method: The method of this study was a literature review of the two areas of modular training and<br>
medicine. Key words of these areas were inferred and needed materials were found from internal and<br>
international databases such as Magiran, Noormags, SID (Scientific Information Database), Google Scholar,<br>
Cross References, Science Direct and PubMed.<br>
Results: The findings of this study indicated that the effectiveness of modular courses at all levels and in<br>
most areas of cognitive and practical issues was approved and Studies of the effectiveness of these courses<br>
even on issues related to medical science and experimental science have confirmed.<br>
Discussion and Conclusion: Due to the particular characteristic medicine, medicine courses can be<br>
designed to be modular, In that way, these modular with creating different skills and getting them together can<br>
train medical specialists and experts.
