Explaining the Status of Enterprise Innovation and Professional Development based on the Adoption of Information Technology

Introduction: In the present era, information is the main factor; base of economical and social development
of countries plays an important role in the field of human activities, innovation and development. This study
has been done with the purpose to investigate the relationship between IT adoption with organizational
innovation and professional development of Urmia employees.
Method: The research method is descriptive-analytic correlation type. The statistical population of this
research is all healthcare workers in health centers in Urmia. The statistical sample is 288 people who were
selected by simple random sampling method. The research tools were three types of standard questionnaires,
Mohammadi and Amiri’s technology information admission (2014), organizational innovation questionnaire of
Hang et al. (2011) and Mirkmali et al. (2011) professional development questionnaire (2016).
Results: The results of statistical analysis showed that the relationship between the adoption of
information technology with organizational innovation is 0.459 at the level of 0.001 and with the professional
development of the employees at 0.600 at the level of 0.00 is positive and significant. Relationships between
the components of each were also confirmed at 95% level.
Conclusion: In an interactive process, information technology and human beings interact with one
another, and if they do well, change and innovation will occur. As managers of the organization pay attention
to information technology and develop their employees in different ways, they can create new innovations
in the organization. Since human resources are the most valuable and important factor in production and
the most effective in achieving sustainable development, it is necessary for the optimal use of it to provide
facilities for the promotion and development of this powerful source. Therefore, the development in the
information technology sector is equivalent to professional development and innovation in the organization,
and the organization changes from static to dynamic mode.
